Last September, Dagobah Day focused on four predictions I had for Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens. Two of my four predictions look pretty good today and – technically – the last two could still be true if they explain more about Snoke and Poe in the future.
I’m not caught up on the Poe Dameron comic book, so that may have actually debunked my theory. Today, I want to try to speculate and make some predictions about Rogue One: A Star Wars Story‘s plot.

Mads Mikkelsen is one of my favorite actors out there, and definitely my favorite Danish actor ever. We’ve known for a little while now that Mikkelsen is playing the father of Jyn Erso (played by Felicity Jones) in Rogue One. But we haven’t seen his character in either of the two trailers. A couple of days ago, The Wrap reported that Lando Calrissian will be appearing in the Han Solo anthology film! Now, we haven’t gotten that confirmed yet, and we don’t know how much he’ll be in the film, if he is indeed in it. But Birth.Movies.Death have reported that Community‘s Donald Glover is the first choice for the part, which obviously makes me happy. In less than five months, we’ll all have seen the first Anthology Film in the Star Wars-franchise. This marks the opening of a new chapter in the franchise and blockbuster filmmaking as a whole. But one thing has me worried about Lucasfilm, Rogue One, and the Anthology Films: they may not include the opening crawl.
The following is a special Dagobah Day. Dagobah Day is normally released on the first Monday of every month.
So the Rogue One-panel was pretty cool. Gwendoline Christie moderated it, we got a pretty cool new poster, they released a behind-the-scenes sizzle reel, and the crowd got to see a special teaser trailer. Last month, Dagobah Day focused on the best moments in the prequel trilogy. It wasn’t always easy to point out what moments were good, in three movies that aren’t that great. Today I didn’t have trouble finding good moments. Instead, my biggest problem was to rank the greatest moments of the original trilogy. The original trilogy is one of the best trilogies of all-time. The prequel trilogy gets a lot of hate, and, look, I get it, there are a lot of reasons why you’d dislike or even hate the prequel trilogy films.
