The prequel trilogy gets a lot of hate, and, look, I get it, there are a lot of reasons why you’d dislike or even hate the prequel trilogy films. Personally, I really like Revenge of the Sith a lot, but I really dislike huge chunks of the two other prequels. Today I want to single out ten of the greatest moments in the prequel trilogy, to remind Star Wars-fans that there are great things about the trilogy.
#10 – The Phantom Menace: Anakin Skywalker takes down the Trade Federation’s Droid Control Ship
Yeah, this isn’t a great moment, but at least you could have fun with R2-D2 and a Skywalker taking down the control ship.
#9 – Revenge of the Sith: Darth Sidious versus Yoda
This fight was good, but it didn’t have a lot of emotional weight.
#8 – Revenge of the Sith: Count Dooku versus Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi
You’ve got the ‘Do It’ moment here, and a pretty badass Anakin Skywalker. I do wish Obi-Wan hadn’t been knocked out.
#7 – Revenge of the Sith: Bail Organa and the Death of Zett Jukassa
You did good, Zett. You did good.
#6 – Revenge of the Sith: The Attempted Arrest of Darth Sidious, and the Death of Mace Windu
Bye bye, Windu. Rise, Lord Vader.
#5 – Attack of the Clones: Obi-Wan Kenobi battles Jango Fett on Kamino
Not a big fan of the whole clone-thing, but at least we got this fight out of that plotpoint.
#4 – Revenge of the Sith: Execute Order 66
The Order 66 montage was pretty great, and it was heartbreaking to see what Anakin was going to do.
#3 – Revenge of the Sith: The Tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise
Oh Anakin, can’t you see you’re being played? I would watch, like, a full movie of Palpatine telling old Sith legends. I really hope we get a Plagueis film at some point.
#2 – The Phantom Menace: Darth Maul versus Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi
We lost Liam Neeson! I really wish we had had him for more than one film. But this fight is pretty spectacular. We ‘lost’ two good characters here. Even if you really hate The Phantom Menace, this is a moment you have to rewatch again, and again, and again.
#1 – Revenge of the Sith: The Chosen One versus Master Obi-Wan Kenobi on Mustafar
This is definitely the best lightsaber fight in the prequel trilogy. It might even be the best lightsaber fight prior to the Disney-deal. You can say what you will about Hayden Christensen’s acting, but this fight works on pretty much every level.
Do you agree with this list? Sound off in the comments.

Good list. I have to say, I think the order 66 montage is one of the best scenes in Star Wars, let alone the prequels.
Sure, it is extremely powerful!
