REVIEW: Better Call Saul – “Witness”

The following is a review and recap of the second episode of the third season of Better Call Saul, available on AMC in the U. S. and on Netflix internationally. Expect story spoilers. 

In the second episode of the third season – Witness – Chuck (played by Michael McKean) lays his trap, Jimmy (played by Bob Odenkirk) and Kim (played by Rhea Seehorn) hire an assistant, and Mike Ehrmantraut needs Jimmy’s help to figure out who has been watching him. Better Call Saul co-creator (and creator of Breaking Bad) Vince Gilligan directed Witness, and the episode was written by Thomas Schnauz. REVIEW: Better Call Saul – “Mabel”

The following is a review and recap of the first episode of the third season of Better Call Saul, available on AMC in the U. S. and on Netflix internationally. Expect story spoilers. 

It’s finally that time of the year again. Better Call Saul, which is currently my favorite show on television, is back. You know, it’s funny. Before I had seen the show, I was extremely worried about Better Call Saul somehow retroactively hurting Breaking Bad. As we now know, my fears were unfounded as Better Call Saul has become not just a great spin-off show, but also my personal favorite spin-off show.

In the first episode of the third season – Mabel – ‘Gene’ briefly shows his true colors, Kim Wexler grows increasingly paranoid about her own work, Mike Ehrmantraut tries to figure out who’s been watching him, and Jimmy McGill has ten good minutes with his brother.

Top Ten TV-Shows of 2016

When you watch the high number shows of that people who review television do, you get a ton of surprises, but you’re also often reminded of the greatness of a show that you may have underestimated in the past. This year shows like Westworld, The Night Of, and Stranger Things really surprised me. Whereas I was reminded how great BoJack Horseman and House of Cards can be.
