The following is a retro review of Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones, a George Lucas film.

While I don’t love every film in the franchise, I clearly love Star Wars. I write about the franchise all the time. So while it is pretty obvious, it pains me to admit that The Phantom Menace wasn’t a good movie. I tried not to tear that film apart in my review of it.

I wanted to review this film right after reviewing The Phantom Menace, but, for some reason, it took me a very long time to finally muster up enough strength to write about this film. This review has been delayed for way too long. Let’s finally talk about the worst Star Wars film. Continue reading “RETRO REVIEW: Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones (2002)”

We live in the greatest time to ever be a fan of something. There are new comic books coming out every week, comic book movies are getting Oscar nominations every other year, people stand in line every month to watch the next big spectacle, and, most of the time, these spectacles are about the characters we love. Top 10 Best Moments in the Original Trilogy – Dagobah Day #15

Dagobah Day - 2016

Last month, Dagobah Day focused on the best moments in the prequel trilogy. It wasn’t always easy to point out what moments were good, in three movies that aren’t that great. Today I didn’t have trouble finding good moments. Instead, my biggest problem was to rank the greatest moments of the original trilogy. The original trilogy is one of the best trilogies of all-time. So, today I want to single out ten of the greatest moments in the original trilogy, to remind Star Wars-fans how lucky we are to have these films and these characters. Top 10 Best Moments in the Prequel Trilogy – Dagobah Day #14

Dagobah Day - 2016

The prequel trilogy gets a lot of hate, and, look, I get it, there are a lot of reasons why you’d dislike or even hate the prequel trilogy films. Personally, I really like Revenge of the Sith a lot, but I really dislike huge chunks of the two other prequels. Today I want to single out ten of the greatest moments in the prequel trilogy, to remind Star Wars-fans that there are great things about the trilogy. The Force Awakens Blu-Ray Review – Dagobah Day #13

Dagobah Day - 2016

Sometime during April there’s a good chance you picked up Star Wars: The Force Awakens on Blu-Ray or Digital HD (or both, if you’re me). I know that it released in the beginning of April in the U.S., but I know that people in other territories had to wait a few more weeks to get their hands on Episode VII. So, today I thought I would talk about the Blu-Ray: talk about what is great, what isn’t so great, and what is missing on the Blu-Ray.

Trailer Review: Rogue One (Teaser Trailer #1) – Dagobah Day #12

It’s finally here! I’ve been really excited for the first Anthology Film in the Star Wars canon, and Rogue One is that film. It tells the story of how the Rebel Alliance got the plans to the Death Star. Basically, this is one of the most intriguing stories to tell around the time of the original trilogy. So, watch the trailer, come back to this page, and then let’s go over some of the shots in the trailer.

2 Spin-Off Stories We Need – Dagobah Day #11

Dagobah Day - 2016

Not long ago we got the news that the casting process for young Han Solo was almost done. Rogue One‘s first trailer should be appearing sometime in the next month or so. So, I started to wonder about other possible Star Wars-anthology films that I wanted made. That lead me to today’s post, wherein I pitch two Star Wars stories for Disney to adapt.  Continue reading “2 Spin-Off Stories We Need – Dagobah Day #11”

REVIEW: Star Wars Rebels – Season One (2014-2015)

StarWarsRebels

The following is a review of the first season of Star Wars Rebels.

I was never sure that I was going to watch Star Wars Rebels. The fact of the matter is that I didn’t enjoy every season of The Clone Wars. But I decided to give Rebels a chance, and I was hooked almost instantly. I loved the first season so much that I bought it on Blu-Ray in December 2015, even though the entire season was available on Netflix Denmark.

The first season of Rebels is perfect for all ages, and you definitely don’t need to have seen The Clone Wars to enjoy it. I had some problems adjusting to the animation style of The Clone Wars, but have had no such problem with Rebels, to be perfectly honest.   Continue reading “REVIEW: Star Wars Rebels – Season One (2014-2015)”
