Last September, Dagobah Day focused on four predictions I had for Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens. Two of my four predictions look pretty good today and – technically – the last two could still be true if they explain more about Snoke and Poe in the future.
I’m not caught up on the Poe Dameron comic book, so that may have actually debunked my theory. Today, I want to try to speculate and make some predictions about Rogue One: A Star Wars Story‘s plot. Continue reading “Rogue One Predictions – Dagobah Day #21”→
The following is a spoiler review of the first episode of Westworld – Developed by Jonathan Nolan & Lisa Joy
Westworld – produced by Jonathan Nolan, J. J. Abrams, and Bryan Burk, among others – is based on the science fiction film of the same name from 1973, which was written and directed by Michael Crichton. It takes place in a futuristic theme park, where guests – or ‘newcomers,’ as they are called – can interact with robots – or androids – in any way they see fit. The following is a season review of the first season of Marvel’s Luke Cage, a Netflix exclusive.
The Marvel Television-Netflix relationship is wonderful. I’m a big fan of most Marvel characters, and I’m always in line for the next big Marvel movie. The first Marvel Television show – Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. – didn’t grab me like I was hoping it would. I’ve seen some episodes of it that I enjoy, but I haven’t found the time to revisit the show.
Marvel’s Agent Carter – another ABC show – was more for me. But I have yet to catch up on all of the episodes in season two. While I love the Agent Carter-character, her show isn’t must-watch television. The Netflix-Marvel shows, however, are. Continue reading “REVIEW: Luke Cage – Season One (2016)”→

So, one of the things I want to do in Motion Picture Thoughts is to really highlight the Academy Awards. I watch it every year. I obsess over nominees. I’m just incredibly intrigued by the Oscars. When I woke up today, I was informed that about a week ago, I was nominated for a Sunshine Blogger Award by Monday Morning Movie Quarterback. So, thank you very much, buddy! He and I had some great discussions about the Raimi Spider-Man films recently, and it’s great to hear that he enjoyed those discussions as well.
Okay, so, for the first ten minutes, or so, after I was notified of the nomination’s existence I was left wondering what a Sunshine Blogger Award was. Basically – it seems – that it’s a way for bloggers to give you a ‘pat on the back’ for the creative and positive writing you’ve done. Continue reading “Sunshine Blogger Award Nomination”→
