Now, I still haven’t gotten a chance to see La La Land as it hasn’t been released in Denmark yet. So it’s tough for me to really say if La La Land deserves every nomination it got. But it did get a record-tying 14 nominations for the Academy Awards, which only Joseph L. Marvel at the Oscars – Marvelous Monday #56

I love the Oscars. Sure, there’s almost always controversy. Sure, the Academy doesn’t always recognize my favorite films, but it’s always entertaining. To me, at the very least. But I just realized something. While the Marvel Cinematic Universe is on the top of pretty much every Hollywood actor’s wish list, somehow the franchise has never won an Oscar.

REACTION: Academy Awards 2015 Results


Here we are again on the eve of the Academy Awards. This year I had my heart set on Boyhood for Best Picture and Richard Linklater for Best Director – boy was I upset. Eventually Inarritu took it all, and I mean it all, even the screenplay award they were nominated for.
