Marvelous Monday #44 – Doctor Strange is One Year Away

Doctor Strange

2016 is a huge year for comic book movies, and especially for the two biggest comic book companies: Marvel and DC. We have X-Men: Apocalypse, Captain America: Civil War, Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, and Suicide Squad. But don’t forget about Doctor Strange. While it’s definitely the film the least number of people are buzzing about, it might just be the most interesting of them all. This is supposedly Marvel’s Fantasia. Da Marvelous Monday

On Friday the 20th of November 2015 (more than seven months after Marvel’s Daredevil was released on Netflix) Netflix releases its second of four superhero shows preceding a The Defenders mini-series. Marvelous Monday #34 – Are We Getting An Ant-Man Sequel?

MarvelousMondayI'mJeffreyRex

Beware of spoilers from Ant-Man

A lot of things happened at Marvel Studios this last week. The Creative Committee was, according to some reports, disbanded, and Disney changed who Kevin Feige reports to. Ike Perlmutter no longer makes the decisions. Perlmutter has supposedly treated people poorly as a representative of Marvel, but we don’t know what this will mean in the long run. Therefore I chose to write about something else instead – are we getting an Ant-Man sequel?

I'm Jeffrey Rex's Marvelous Monday

Marvel Studios’ first two phases are over, and now we wait for the beginning of Marvel Studios’ Phase Three, which begins with Captain America: Civil War. I suggested some directors for two of Marvel’s Phase Three films (Thor: Ragnarok & Black Panther) on last week’s Marvelous Monday. This week I focus on Captain Marvel and Inhumans – let’s try to fill those director’s chairs! Continue reading “Marvelous Monday #33 – Phase Three’s Missing Directors (Pt. 2 of 2)”
