Last year, I made two lists about the two first Star Wars trilogies. The list for the Prequel Trilogy was rather difficult to put together, while the list for the Original Trilogy was much more fun to do. I’ve previously promised to return to The Force Awakens (which I’ve seen 14 or 15 times by now) and, finally, make a ‘Top 10 Best Moments in The Force Awakens‘ list. Today I’m finally ready to reveal the list. Let’s get to it.
#10 – Rey resists Kylo Ren’s mind-reading

I really, really like the interrogation scene. Seeing Rey react to Kylo unmasking. Then seeing her push back, and finally seeing Kylo visibly shaken. Great scene.
#9 – Poe and the Resistance save Han, Chewbacca, and Finn

I always knew I was going to love Poe Dameron from the moment that I saw Oscar Isaac with his character’s uniform on. This is Poe’s coolest moment in the film.
#8 – Leia and Han’s last moment together

This moment really stings these days. This is the central love story in Star Wars, and this is their final moment together.
#7 – “Chewie, we’re home.”

It’s a better moment in the trailer than it is in the film, but it’s still pretty great.
#6 – Thumbs Up!

The funniest moment in the film.
#5 – Rey finds Luke Skywalker

Do I wish he said something? Definitely! But it’s a great moment nonetheless.
#4 – Kylo Ren stops blaster bolt

One of the coolest moments in the film. Here Kylo Ren is showing us the power of the Force.
#3 – Kylo Ren kills Han Solo

A painful moment for everyone watching.
#2 – Rey versus Kylo Ren

A fantastic fight scene. Kylo Ren, for a moment, looked unstoppable, but Rey fights back with the overwhelming power of the Force.
#1 – “Rey. These are your first steps.”

Rey’s vision has to be best moment in The Force Awakens. I’ve watched it so many times that I’ve lost count. The vision makes you question everything you think you’ve figured out.
What was your favorite moment in The Force Awakens? Sound off in the comments.
Announcement: The next Dagobah Day won’t be on the first Monday of April. Instead, I’ll try to speculate upon any trailer for The Last Jedi that may or may not get released during Star Wars Celebration, if Disney decides to let us all have a look.
