June is the month that gives us two long awaited sequels, one of which I have already seen. I think both of these films are going to make a lot of money, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see at least one of them get into the billion dollar club.

Solo: A Star Wars Story’s Opening Weekend is So Low – Special Features #24
Bad news. It looks like Solo: A Star Wars Story could turn out to be a box office flop, if the recent projections for its opening weekend are to be believed. The spin-off film that was reshot by seasoned director Ron Howard may turn out to be the first box office disaster of the Disney era of Star Wars.

A Star Wars Story: What Comes Next? – Special Features #23
Solo: A Star Wars Story is in theaters everywhere starting this week. I have written my review of it, which you can find here, and now we should probably start too look at what future films Disney and Lucasfilm should come up with. This week’s Special Features article looks at five different Star Wars Stories that Lucasfilm should consider doing in the next few years.

REVIEW: Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018)

The following is a review of Solo: A Star Wars Story — Directed by Ron Howard.
Okay, let us get one thing out of the way early on. We all expected this film to fall apart. Most of us had this sinking feeling that told us we were getting a film that had fallen apart during production. Just like with Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, behind the scenes news made us worry about the film, but it was even worse this time with Solo. Continue reading “REVIEW: Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018)”
Box Office Predictions – May 2018
Let’s be honest, you don’t want to compete with a Marvel event movie, the sequel to a surprise superhero hit, or a Star Wars movie. All of that means that no other film that studios have much faith in are positioned in between these films. So, today I am going to be talking about Deadpool 2 and Solo: A Star Wars Story. Lord and Miller fired?! – Dagobah Day #33
Is it time to panic? I think it’s time to panic. Now, the second Star Wars spin-off film in development is the Han Solo film (which is apparently just going to be titled Solo — no official news, though). We’ve known for a while that Phil Lord and Chris Miller, who’ve successfully directed The LEGO Movie and both 21 and 22 Jump Street, were going to be directing the film. Top 10 Best Moments in the Original Trilogy – Dagobah Day #15
Last month, Dagobah Day focused on the best moments in the prequel trilogy. It wasn’t always easy to point out what moments were good, in three movies that aren’t that great. Today I didn’t have trouble finding good moments. Instead, my biggest problem was to rank the greatest moments of the original trilogy. The original trilogy is one of the best trilogies of all-time. So, today I want to single out ten of the greatest moments in the original trilogy, to remind Star Wars-fans how lucky we are to have these films and these characters. We Need To Talk About Kylo – Dagobah Day #10
Attention: the following post contains spoilers for Star Wars: The Force Awakens!
I’ve spoken to numerous people about the newest villains in the Star Wars saga, and what has become abundantly clear is that I don’t see eye to eye with a lot of the people criticizing the character of Kylo Ren. I’ve found myself defending his character, his development, his design, and the like on multiple occasions. I’m getting really tired of seeing people misinterpreting the greatness of Kylo Ren, so this month’s Dagobah Day is all about Kylo! Continue reading “We Need To Talk About Kylo – Dagobah Day #10”
Who Could Del Toro Be Playing in Episode VIII? – Dagobah Day #9
Dagobah Day is an opinion/news piece on all things Star Wars, which posts on the first monday of every month. Beware of spoilers for the Star Wars Saga-films.
Benicio Del Toro is one of the most talented actors out there. Del Toro is best known for starring in 21 Grams, Traffic, The Usual Suspects, and now Sicario. A couple of years ago, Del Toro apparently decided to star in more mainstream films, along came Guardians of the Galaxy, and, suddenly, Del Toro was the Collector to a whole new generation. That is about to change as he has signed on to star in Star Wars: Episode VIII. Today, on Dagobah Day, I mention some of the possible characters that he could play. Is Rey Related To A Core Character? – Dagobah Day #8
Dagobah Day is an opinion/news piece on all things Star Wars, which posts on the first monday of every month.
We now live in the post-The Force Awakens world. We’ve seen Episode VII of the Star Wars saga, and some of us may have even seen it multiple times. The Force Awakens was a great film that gave us new hope for the future of the Star Wars franchise. But now we wait for Episode VIII and Rogue One. The Journey to Episode VIII begins with me discussing one of the unanswered questions that The Force Awakens asked! Continue reading “Is Rey Related To A Core Character? – Dagobah Day #8”
