It’s time for another Top Ten Tuesday. I’m still getting through the best heroes of this decade, and we’ve reached 2015. Do note that these characters aren’t solely ranked on how heroic their actions are. Also, some heroes may not be traditional heroes. In fact, this list includes groups of heroes too. Without further ado, here are the top ten movie heroes of 2015. (more…)
The following is a spoiler-free review of Captain America: Civil War, a Anthony & Joe Russo film. The reviewed film was seen in IMAX 3D.
This is a spoiler-free review, and the review thus won’t go into anything else than what is in the trailers. If, however, I need to mention a location, plot-point, or a character that could spoil something in the film, then I’ll only hint at it.
I’ve wanted to see this story on the big screen for a very, very long time. It’s the one story I’ve always wanted them to make into a film, ever since I first read the comic book crossover from 2007 (Mark Millar’s Civil War). But to be perfectly honest with you, Captain America: Civil War is so much better than the comic book.
Last Thursday Marvel announced some updates for its Phase 3 line-up. We are getting an Ant-Man sequel, but at the cost of having to move Black Panther and Captain Marvel around. Ike Perlmutter no longer makes the decisions. Perlmutter has supposedly treated people poorly as a representative of Marvel, but we don’t know what this will mean in the long run. Therefore I chose to write about something else instead – are we getting an Ant-Man sequel?
The following is a spoiler-free review of Marvel’s Ant-Man (2015).

If this sounds like Marvel has gone for one of the most obscure comic books they’ve ever done, then you’re not entirely wrong. The general public wouldn’t be that familiar with the character, but he is not unimportant – his film is much more than a stopgap between Avengers: Age Of Ultron and Captain America 3 – in fact, this origin story is a breath of fresh air for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. We’re about to start July, and thus everyone will be needing some reading material (unless you’re not into that kind of thing), so this week’s post is all about comic books! Obviously it’ll only cover Marvel Comics, so if you’re a DC guy or gal – just follow the Bat-family. Nevertheless, I’ve got 3 comic book series that I’ve enjoyed or am enjoying from Marvel Comics, which I am recommending today. (more…)
Hey! I haven’t written a lot of posts on comic books and specifically Marvel Comics! So this week’s Marvelous Monday is all about comic books! What am I reading? What should you read? Which storylines do I need to catch up on? Let’s check it out.
