It is a good year to be Josh Brolin. Sure, we are more than halfway through the year, but, still, it is remarkable how one actor has managed to star in so many films this ‘early’ into the year. With 2012’s Prometheus and now with 2017’s Alien: Covenant, Ridley Scott – the directorial ‘father’ of the Alien-franchise – has reclaimed ownership of the vastly popular horror-science fiction film series. Unfortunately, Prometheus wasn’t met with much praise from fans, and now – with Alien: Covenant – Ridley Scott is trying to appease the rapid fan-base while still dealing with the themes present in his first prequel. The following is a quick review of Sausage Party – Directed by Conrad Vernon and Greg Tiernan
It might not have been one of the ten films I was most excited for in 2016, but Sausage Party’s trailers really started to get me fired up about the film. I think the red band trailers were solid, and I was definitely getting more and more excited about the film. I didn’t get to see it in theaters, though, and I had to wait this long to finally see Seth Rogen’s animated project. Frankly, it’s a pretty disappointing film, even if it isn’t all that bad. (more…)

The following is a quick review of Columbia Pictures’ The Angry Birds Movie.
In The Angry Birds Movie, Red (voiced by Jason Sudeikis) – a red angry bird – is sentenced to anger management after his temper ruins a birthday party. At anger management class, Red meets Chuck (voiced by Josh Gad) – a yellow fast angry bird – and Bomb (voiced by Danny McBride) – a black angry bird that can blow itself up.
When a group of pigs suddenly arrive on Bird Island, Red, Chuck, and Bomb board the pig ship only to discover that the pigs plan to colonize the island. Now, their anger is all that can save the inhabitants of Bird Island from the deceitful newcomers.
