In this edition of Additional Bite-Sized Reviews, the point of this post is to function as a review compilation, if you will, of some notable 2023 television series that I’ve either caught up with in the last few months or which I never found the time to write about when they were released way back when (i.e. my review notes backlog). For this post, I have specifically highlighted three shows from the past year that didn’t fully work for me, even though I liked a fair bit about them.

REVIEW: Game Over, Man! (2018)

The following is a review of Game Over, Man! — A Netflix Film.

Game Over, Man! is an action-comedy very clearly inspired by Die Hard, even though the title of this film, for some odd reason, refers to a popular Bill Paxton quote from Aliens. REVIEW: How to be Single (2016)

The following is a review of How to be Single – Directed by Christian Ditter.

How to be Single tries to tell multiple stories about single life from the perspectives of three women. Alice (played by Dakota Johnson) who struggles with her new status as a single woman after breaking up with her boyfriend. Alice’s wild co-worker Robin (played by Rebel Wilson). And, finally, Meg (played by Leslie Mann) – an OB/GYN – who is happy being alone, until she one day falls in love with the idea of having a baby.
