Television has never been better than right now in the New Golden Age of Television. 2017 continued that age, or trend, in which television was as effective as, or even more so than, cinema. For some, peak television in 2017 is described best by the return of Twin Peaks, and for others it is best described by shows that are not as iconic as Lynch’s famous show — at least not yet. REVIEW: Better Call Saul – “Sunk Costs”

In the third episode of the third season – Sunk Costs – Mike (played by Jonathan Banks) and Gus Fring (played by Giancarlo Esposito) discuss what to do about Hector Salamanca, and Jimmy (played by Bob Odenkirk) pleads not guilty. REVIEW: Better Call Saul – “Witness”

The following is a review and recap of the second episode of the third season of Better Call Saul, available on AMC in the U. S. and on Netflix internationally. Expect story spoilers. 

In the second episode of the third season – Witness – Chuck (played by Michael McKean) lays his trap, Jimmy (played by Bob Odenkirk) and Kim (played by Rhea Seehorn) hire an assistant, and Mike Ehrmantraut needs Jimmy’s help to figure out who has been watching him. Better Call Saul co-creator (and creator of Breaking Bad) Vince Gilligan directed Witness, and the episode was written by Thomas Schnauz. Top Ten TV-Shows of 2016

When you watch the high number shows of that people who review television do, you get a ton of surprises, but you’re also often reminded of the greatness of a show that you may have underestimated in the past. This year shows like Westworld, The Night Of, and Stranger Things really surprised me. Whereas I was reminded how great BoJack Horseman and House of Cards can be.
