Based on Kevin Flynn and Gary Gerhardt’s The Silent Brotherhood, Justin Kurzel’s The Order follows a veteran FBI agent, Terry Husk (played by Jude Law), who, alongside a local Idaho Deputy named Jamie Bowen (played by Tye Sheridan), takes on a case to investigate a series of disappearances and instances of domestic terrorism carried out by a white supremacist militant group led by a man named Bob Mathews (played by Nicholas Hoult).

REVIEW: The Tragedy of Macbeth (2021)

The Coen brothers are obviously one of the most influential and acclaimed filmmaking duos of the late 20th and early 21st Century. I have had the great pleasure of watching and enjoying several of their films, and I think all cinephiles wait eagerly every time one of their projects is announced. The Tragedy of Macbeth is, however, a special entry in their filmography since it is the first solo effort from Joel Coen. Even though his brother did not work on this film, Joel Coen didn’t lose a step. The Tragedy of Macbeth, obviously an adaptation of an oft-adapted Shakespeare play that needs no introduction, is one of the best-looking films of 2021.

Trailer Review: Assassin’s Creed (Official Trailer #1)

The Assassin’s Creed trailer is finally here! I’ve been pretty excited for this film for a while as it was on my ‘My 10 Most Anticipated Film of 2016‘ list. I’ve played 7 of the current 9 games in the Assassin’s Creed main series of games. Justin Kurzel is directing the film, and both Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard star in the video game adaptation: it’s basically a Macbeth-reunion. The Kurzel-Macbeth was great, and I am so excited to see if this will be the first truly great movie based on a video game. So, let’s discuss the trailer.
