There is nothing like Star Wars. The Star Wars saga includes the biggest films of all-time, the most influential films of all-time, and one of the most rabid and passionate fandoms in popular culture. There is an innumerable amount of lore about the galaxy far, far away, and the philosophy of Jediism was once recorded as a religion. I’ve said this multiple times at the beginning of 2017, but I just don’t think 2016 deserves to be known as a bad year for movies. REVIEW: All The Way (2016)

The following is a review of HBO Films’ All The Way, based on the Robert Schenkkan play of the same name.

Jay Roach, who had worked with Bryan Cranston on 2015’s Trumbo, teams up with Bryan Cranston yet again, this time by adapting the play that Cranston won a Tony Award for in 2014. Cranston has become one of the very best, if not the very best, actor during what is now known as the golden age of television, and his performance in this adaptation of All The Way should earn him another Emmy nomination, at the very least. The following is a review of Jon Schnepp’s The Death of “Superman Lives”: What Happened?

For more reasons than one, this is the perfect time for Jon Schnepp’s documentary to be released. Not only is Ant-Man out in theaters in the summer of 2015 – a film infamous for the Edgar Wright-problems – but Avengers: Age of Ultron suffered from problematic quotes from its director back in April 2015. Meanwhile, Superman has not been this relevant since 1978.

Way back in 1990 the late, great Michael Crichton’s Jurassic Park novel was released, three years later Steven Spielberg had directed its cinematic adaptation, and suddenly it was one of the most celebrated blockbusters in cinematic history. 2015 Box Office Predictions

So I decided I would let you in on my box office top 10 predictions for 2015. Two huge films have already released, with one of them already rewriting the record books. This top 10 list’s estimations are worldwide box office numbers. All films to be released in 2015 count. I plan to return to this list in February (2016) to see what I got right and wrong.
