REVIEW: Barry – “Chapter Four: Commit… To You”

The following is a review of the third episode of HBO’s Barry — Created by Bill Hader & Alec Berg.

In the fourth episode of HBO’s new half-hour dark comedy show Barry — Chapter Four: Commit… To You — the title character (played by Bill Hader) overthinks his relationships with the aspiring actor Sally (played by Sarah Goldberg), Fuches (played by Stephen Root) tries to pull Barry back into the violent and risky life of a hitman, and Gene Cousineau (played by Henry Winkler) goes on a date with Detective Moss (played by Paula Newsome).

REVIEW: Barry – “Chapter Three: Make The Unsafe Choice”

The following is a review of the third episode of HBO’s Barry — Created by Bill Hader & Alec Berg.

In the third episode of HBO’s new half-hour dark comedy show BarryChapter Three: Make The Unsafe Choice — the title character (played by Bill Hader) waits for a DHL package to arrive so that he can take out his target. Meanwhile, the Chechens have sent for a legendary assassin to kill Barry and Fuches (played by Stephen Root), and Sally (played by Sarah Goldberg) auditions for a TV show.

REVIEW: Barry – “Chapter Two: Use It”

The following is a review of the second episode of HBO’s Barry — Created by Bill Hader & Alec Berg.

In the second episode of HBO’s new half-hour dark comedy show Barry Chapter Two: Use It — the title character (played by Bill Hader) tries his hardest to find a proper way to react to the death of Ryan Madison, which he is involved in, while the rest of the acting class decides to hold a memorial in Ryan’s honor wherein they will all perform in some way, shape, or form. At the same time, the local police department is trying to figure out what happened on the night of Ryan Madison’s death, while the Chechen mob is looking for Barry and Fuches (played by Stephen Root).

REVIEW: Barry – “Chapter One: Make Your Mark”

The following is a review of the first episode of HBO’s Barry — Created by Bill Hader & Alec Berg.

Barry — a half-hour dark comedy series from HBO — comes from Saturday Night Live-alum Bill Hader, who plays the titular character, and Alec Berg, a producer of such shows as Seinfeld, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and Silicon Valley. And if you’re the type of person who loved Dexter but thought it could have used a little bit of comedy, then Barry isn’t just ‘for you’ it is a match made in heaven.  Continue reading “REVIEW: Barry – “Chapter One: Make Your Mark””

The following is a quick review of Barry – Directed by Vikram Gandhi.

Some part of me thinks that it is too early for us to see a Barack Obama biopic – seeing as he is still the sitting President for another month – but, at the time of writing, we already have two films. Thankfully, I’m happy to report that this film – Vikram Gandhi’s Barry – definitely isn’t a waste of time. In fact, I was surprised by how much I enjoyed watching it. REVIEW: The Flash – Season One (2014-2015)

The Flash Reviewed

The following is a quick review of the first season of CW’s The Flash.

The Flash tells the story of Barry Allen (played by Grant Gustin), a forensic scientist for the Central City Police Department (CCPD), who lost his mother to a mysterious incident when he was a small child. Barry’s father (played by John Wesley Shipp) was convicted for murdering his wife, but Barry has become obsessed with solving the murder that happened long ago and clearing his father’s name. One day, the particle accelerator at S.T.A.R. Labs explodes, and Barry is struck by lightning. After Barry wakes from a coma, he finds out that he now has the power of super-speed.
