It’s time. I’ve seen everything that I feel like I need to see before I can publish my best TV/streaming shows list for 2022. Today, I’ll list ten shows that I think were absolutely fantastic last year. You’ll find a lot of different shows on this list. Some of them are big franchise entries, but there are also new favorites and an experimental show that I was obsessed with last year. So, without further ado, let’s get to it. REVIEW: Richard Jewell (2019)

Still Image Richard Jewell

Directed by Clint Eastwood — Screenplay by Billy Ray.

There is a lot to say when it comes to Clint Eastwood’s Richard Jewell, which is a biopic about the security guard who discovered a bomb during the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, then alerted authorities, and was later wrongly accused of having planted it. While the film is not without problems, on the whole, I thought that Clint Eastwood’s 2019 picture was a success. This is a heartbreaking and infuriating film about the investigation into the Centennial Olympic Park bombing and the media circus and harsh media trial that followed as a result of an FBI leak, and at the center of the film is a breakthrough performance that I don’t think got the praise it deserved. What To Watch During the Coronavirus Pandemic, Part II – Special Features #68

A couple of weeks ago, I presented my readers with a list of films or shows to binge-watch during your self-isolation due to the current coronavirus pandemic. So, today, I present you with another small handful of binge-watching options, none of which I have previously reviewed on this site. REVIEW: MINDHUNTER – Season Two (2019)

The following is a review of the second season of Mindhunter — Created by Joe Penhall.

In my first season review of Netflix’s MINDHUNTER, I wrote that it is like catnip for true crime aficionados. I stand by that, but it really hurts being without that catnip for two years. I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve rewatched the first season of the show, so when it became clear that it was finally making its anticipated return I was excited, and before I published this review I made sure to watch the entire season twice. Rest assured, the second season of MINDHUNTER proves that the wait has been worth it. The excellent true-crime series about methodology and research is back, and this time around they get to interview exactly who they want. Continue reading “REVIEW: MINDHUNTER – Season Two (2019)”

Week 2 Predictions

  • Nevermore: In what will be a tough matchup between the Ravens and the Steelers, the Ravens will ultimately beat the Steelers in Maryland. But as we now know, they shall see Rice play… Nevermore.
  • Kuechly Takes Over: Regardless of the starting quarterback, the Carolina Panthers will beat the Detroit Lions – due, in part, to a commanding defensive performance.
  • Titanium: In Tennessee, the Dallas Cowboys will once again look into the abyss – as they lose to Jake Locker’s Titans.
  • Melted Matty Ice: The cool Atlanta QB, Matt Ryan, will melt in Cincinnati as the Red Rifle will turn into the Red Hot Rifle, and liquify the Falcons’ QB. Bengals beat the Falcons.
