In the fourth episode of Preacher (“Monster Swamp”), Jesse (played by Dominic Cooper) tries to get people to go to church. Tulip (played by Ruth Negga) runs into Cassidy (played by Joseph Gilgun), who is trying to trick the cowboys/angels/clones. And we, finally get to see more of Odin Quincannon (played by Jackie Earle Haley).

In Testing Television, I give you five intriguing pieces of news from the world of television entertainment, followed by the main topic of the show. Cassidy (played by Joseph Gilgun) has to make up his mind: to fight or to flee. It’s here. Welcome to Preacher! A supernatural dark comedy about exploding preachers, crazy vampires, and a crisis of faith. Maybe? That’s pretty much all I know about the show. When I sat down to watch the pilot episode, I had no idea what I was about to watch. The story is completely fresh to me at this time. I may end up reading the comic book that it is based on, but probably not until after the first season is finished. I didn’t know what to expect. But this show may be perfect for me right now. REVIEW: The Walking Dead – Season Six (2015-2016)

The following is a review of the sixth season of The Walking Dead. Expect spoilers for the sixth season.

Now, I haven’t reviewed the first five seasons of the show, but I’ve been a fan of the show since the very beginning. I’ve read a good portion of the comic book series, so this world isn’t new to me. It’s been almost two full months since the sixth season aired on AMC in the U.S., and about 5 weeks or so since I got to see the final episode of the season on DR in Denmark. I’ve gathered my various notes from different points in the season, and I’ve finally decided to review a season of The Walking Dead.

Strictly scheduled mini-series don’t always land with me at the right moment. I latch onto longer television shows or movies much easier, but once in a while some mini-series will pop up on my radar, and some aspect of it will pull me in. In 2015, Show Me A Hero was the mini-series for me, and Oscar Isaac was the main reason why I gave the HBO mini-series a chance. Now, I have found a mini-series that is exactly what I need.
