Introducing ‘Thespians and Filmmakers’

Thespians and Filmmakers

In early August, I announced that Favorite Thespians was being dropped from the monthly schedule. In that same post, I also noted that I still wanted to write about thespians, and I wanted to write about directors or filmmakers as well. So, today, I’m going to announce Thespians & Filmmakers, which will essentially replace Favorite Thespians. But first, let’s take a look at what thespians were spotlighted on Favorite Thespians:

FAVORITE THESPIANS (January 2016-July 2016)

I loved writing the seven Favorite Thespians posts that you see above, and I still want to recognize the work that my favorite actors are doing. But I also want to highlight some of my favorite directors, even though the post-series is currently not on the monthly schedule.

Therefore I’m initiating phase two of Favorite Thespians, which is… Thespians & Filmmakers. In Favorite Thespians – the first phase – I wrote when I first saw them, what films I thought people should watch, and what my favorite performance of the actor was.

In Thespians & Filmmakers – starting in September 2016 – I’ll write about three people each post. So, I may be writing about three directors, three actors, or, like, two actors and one director. It’ll change from month to month. When writing about these people, I’ll specify which film actors, directors and such are being entered into the Thespians & Filmmakers series for.

Let’s use Jared Leto as an example of how that would work. I already wrote about Jared Leto back in July, but in the second phase the title of his section or post would be ‘Jared Leto for Dallas Buyers Club,‘ instead of just ‘Jared Leto’ with three separate sections.

The first post in Thespians & Filmmakers will go up on Friday, September 2nd 2016. And if people respond to it, then it may be added to the monthly schedule. Until then, go watch some movies.
