REVIEW: Better Call Saul – “Klick”

Better Call Saul - Reviewed

The following is a review of the tenth and final episode of the second season of Better Call Saul, available on AMC in the U.S. and on Netflix in Europe. Expect spoilers

In the final episode of this season of Better Call Saul (“Klick”), we finally learn what happened to Chuck, Jimmy makes a life-changing decision, and Mike gets ready to pull a trigger. Better Call Saul co-creator (and creator of Breaking Bad) Vince Gilligan directed Klick, and wrote it with Heather Marion.  Continue reading “REVIEW: Better Call Saul – “Klick””

REVIEW: Better Call Saul – “Nailed”

Better Call Saul - Reviewed

The following is a review of the ninth episode of the second season of Better Call Saul, available on AMC in the U.S. and on Netflix in Europe. Expect spoilers.

In the ninth episode of this season of Better Call Saul (“Nailed”), Mike uses his homemade spike strip, Chuck gets ready for a victory lap, and Jimmy covers his tracks. Nailed was written and directed by Better Call Saul co-creator Peter Gould.  Continue reading “REVIEW: Better Call Saul – “Nailed””

REVIEW: Better Call Saul – “Fifi”

Better Call Saul - Reviewed

The following is a review of the eighth episode of the second season of Better Call Saul, available on AMC in the U.S. and on Netflix in Europe. Expect story spoilers.

In the eighth episode of this season of Better Call Saul (“Fifi”), Kim quits her job at HHM, Mike tails Hector Salamanca, and both Chuck and Jimmy act out of spite. Fifi was directed by Larysa Kondracki, and written by Thomas Schnauz. Continue reading “REVIEW: Better Call Saul – “Fifi””

REVIEW: Better Call Saul – “Inflatable”

Better Call Saul - Reviewed

The following is a review of the seventh episode of the second season of Better Call Saul, available on AMC in the U.S. and on Netflix in Europe. Expect story spoilers.

In the seventh episode of this season of Better Call Saul (“Inflatable”), Jimmy makes a life-changing decision, Mike helps his daughter-in-law again, and Kim ponders what offer she should accept. Inflatable is another memorable episode of Better Call Saul.

REVIEW: Better Call Saul – “Bali Ha’i”

Better Call Saul - Reviewed

The following is a review of the sixth episode of the second season of Better Call Saul, available on AMC in the U.S. and on Netflix in Europe. Expect story spoilers.

In the sixteenth episode of Better Call Saul (“Bali Ha’i”), Jimmy struggles with the disappointing life of a babysat attorney, Mike considers Hector Salamanca’s offer, and Kim steals the show, leaving me to question when Better Call Saul last had an episode that actually focused on its titular character.  Continue reading “REVIEW: Better Call Saul – “Bali Ha’i””

REVIEW: Better Call Saul – “Rebecca”

Better Call Saul - Reviewed

The following is a review of the fifth episode of the second season of Better Call Saul, available on AMC in the U.S. and on Netflix in Europe. Expect story spoilers.

In the fifteenth episode of Better Call Saul (“Rebecca”), Erin is babysitting Jimmy, a familiar face meets up with Mike, and Kim tries to save her job at HHM. Rebecca is another solid Better Call Saul-episode, but I didn’t love it as much as I would’ve liked to.

REVIEW: Better Call Saul – “Gloves Off”

Better Call Saul - Reviewed

The following is a review of the fourth episode of the second season of Better Call Saul, available on AMC in the U.S. and on Netflix in Europe. Expect story spoilers.

In the fourteenth episode of Better Call Saul (“Gloves Off”), Mike goes on a mission for Nacho, someone gets beat up, and we see a couple of familiar faces return to the Vince Gilligan-Breaking Bad Universe. Gloves Off might’ve been the most well-acted episode of season two yet. Continue reading “REVIEW: Better Call Saul – “Gloves Off””

REVIEW: Better Call Saul – “Amarillo”

Better Call Saul - Reviewed

The following is a review of the third episode of the second season of Better Call Saul, available on AMC in the U.S. and on Netflix in Europe. Expect story spoilers.

Jimmy is slipping… In the third episode of the second season of Better Call Saul (“Amarillo”), Jimmy goes too far with the Sandpiper Crossing-case, and might irreparably damage his relation to both Hamlin, Hamlin & McGill and Davis & Main. Meanwhile, Mike is in-between jobs, as it were, and his family is calling for his help.  Continue reading “REVIEW: Better Call Saul – “Amarillo””

REVIEW: Better Call Saul – “Cobbler”

Better Call Saul - Reviewed

The following is a review of the second episode of the second season of Better Call Saul, available on AMC in the U.S. and on Netflix in Europe. Expect some story spoilers.

World’s 2nd Best Lawyer – after, what was, a decent episode in the season opener (“Switch”), Better Call Saul delivered a must-watch episode that both tested limitations and moved the overall plot along nicely. In the second episode of the second season, “Cobbler”, Jimmy says goodbye to the infamous Suzuki Esteem, Mike goes back to help a former client, and Jimmy shows us how he decompresses after work.  Continue reading “REVIEW: Better Call Saul – “Cobbler””

Planned Reviews for (the rest of) February 2015

Planned Reviews
Hey there! So, February 2015 has been pretty busy for me. Marvelous Monday is still going strong, I’m thinking about launching a weekly post on DC as well, TV Episode Reviews have gained importance on the site – but I am yet to release a full written review of a 2015 film.

Therefore I’ve decided to release a list of things I plan to review each month – and then some other things might come up during that month. So, seeing as February is already going strong this list won’t be as long as others.

Planned TV Reviews

  • Marvel’s Agent Carter – Episodes 2-6, possibly 7 and 8.
  • Better Call Saul – Episode 4.
  • House of Cards – Season 3.

Planned Film Reviews

  • Kingsman: The Secret Service.

Planned Comic Book Reviews

  • Batman #39.

One of these reviews might miss February, seeing as I won’t manage to see/read/play the content until the end of the month.

Anything you want me to review? Any recommendations? Sound off in the comments.

I’m Jeffrey Rex

EDIT #1:

– The Order 1886 February Written Review is cancelled due to schedule alterations. New Written Review date is TBD.
