REVIEW: BoJack Horseman – Season Four (2017)

The following is a review of the fourth season of BoJack Horseman.

On September 8th, 2017, the entire fourth season of BoJack Horseman was released on Netflix. That same day, I chose to bingewatch the season, and I ended up watching it all in one sitting. At numerous times, I found myself sobbing over the course of the twelve episodes. Why did I do this to myself? Well, because BoJack Horseman has been, and still is, not only one of the saddest shows on television, but also one of the very best shows out there. REVIEW: Game of Thrones – Season Seven (2017)

The following is a review of the seventh season of HBO’s Game of Thrones. Expect full spoilers for the show in this review.

At the end of the sixth season of HBO’s Game of Thrones, the show’s two most celebrated heroes moved into position to take on the final sets of challenges for them in this epic series. Jon Snow became the King in the North, and we all learned his true identity. Meanwhile, Daenerys Targaryen, the Mother of Dragons, was finally on her way to Westeros with her mighty dragons and her vast armies. REVIEW: The Leftovers – “Crazy Whitefella Thinking”

The third episode of the third season – Crazy Whitefella Thinking – is a point-of-view episode from the perspective of Kevin Garvey, Sr. (played by Scott Glenn), wherein Senior is travelling around Australia to collect the chants of Australian tribes so that he can prevent a forthcoming flood of biblical proportions. REVIEW: Better Call Saul – “Sunk Costs”

In the third episode of the third season – Sunk Costs – Mike (played by Jonathan Banks) and Gus Fring (played by Giancarlo Esposito) discuss what to do about Hector Salamanca, and Jimmy (played by Bob Odenkirk) pleads not guilty. REVIEW: 13 Reasons Why – Season One (2017)

The following is a review of the first season of 13 Reasons Why – Developed by Brian Yorkey 

13 Reasons Why is based on Jay Asher’s young adult novel of the same name, and the first season of the show follows Clay Jensen (played by Dylan Minnette), a high school student, who, one day, receives a mysterious package containing seven double-sided cassette tapes.

The sixth and final season of HBO’s Girls had everything a final season of a series like it needed. Well, perhaps except a more satisfying conclusion. From pregnancy to lactation. From friendship to being alone. The final season of Girls was an excellent last look into the lives of four women whose friendships weren’t always as strong as their individual ambition. REVIEW: Better Call Saul – “Witness”

In the second episode of the third season – Witness – Chuck (played by Michael McKean) lays his trap, Jimmy (played by Bob Odenkirk) and Kim (played by Rhea Seehorn) hire an assistant, and Mike Ehrmantraut needs Jimmy’s help to figure out who has been watching him. Better Call Saul co-creator (and creator of Breaking Bad) Vince Gilligan directed Witness, and the episode was written by Thomas Schnauz.
