Last year, with the first season of Better Call Saul, I became even more enthralled with the Breaking Bad-universe. Somehow the television masterpiece that Vince Gilligan created was being strengthened by a prequel spin-off show. As I mentioned in the season one review, I was worried about what it would do to the legacy of Breaking Bad. I wasn’t sure if it would work. Well, I ended up loving the first season of Better Call Saul, and the second season did not disappoint either. Better Call Saul is currently my favorite show on television. Welcome back, Jimmy. You’ve been missed. It’s been more than ten months since the final episode of the first season of Better Call Saul aired on AMC. Better Call Saul was my favorite show of 2015, and I even loved its first season more than I loved the first season of the show that preceded it, Breaking Bad. Last year, I reviewed every single episode of Better Call Saul‘s first season, and gave a full season review – this year I plan to repeat that action completely. In the first episode of the second season, “Switch”, we learn what transpired right after Jimmy (played by Bob Odenkirk) started humming Deep Purple‘s “Smoke on the Water” in his yellow Suzuki Esteem.
