Heads up, binge-watchers – Netflix has released a new comedy series! After a good opening episode we’ll have to see if the Netflix Original Series can live up to its potential. As Kimmy is trying to resecure her job at the Voorheess, Titus is trying to get a refund on his Iron Man-lookalike suit.

Right off the bat, I should probably make it clear that I did not care as much for this episode as I did the opening one. REVIEW: Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt – “Kimmy Goes Outside!”

Now that Netflix is going all-in on original programming, they’ve planned out 2015 as their biggest year yet – having already released the third season of House of Cards, they, today (6th of March 2015), premiered the very first season of a Tina Fey comedy. Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is a Netflix Original Series.

So, you probably saw the trailer – but if not, let’s quickly open with the premise. Kimmy Schmidt was a member of an Apocalypse-Cult, and she is freed from an underground bunker in Durnsville, Indiana along with the rest of her female members. Then, the hilarity truly begins – opening with a little homage to the Schmoyoho-generation of autotuners. REVIEW: Better Call Saul – Alpine Shepherd Boy

The following is a review of the fifth episode of AMC’s Better Call Saul, which premiered in Europe on Netflix this morning.

Don’t you just feel bad for Chuck? I mean that opening… While his neighbor didn’t exactly sell him the paper, it sucked that she actually called the cops on someone leaving five dollars as payment. Considering the lengths he went to to get the paper, it sucks that he had to go through that rough ordeal with the cops. His brother’s doing somewhat better though, as is to be expected from last week’s episode.

I want to secede from the United States – Well, okay then. Jimmy sure is getting more clients, and our guy’s not exactly the kind of lawyer that says no to anything upfront, not then and there. But that retaining fee? That’s sure to make anyone cut and run. As for the suggestive talking toilet? Yeah. Don’t go there Jimmy. The drafting of the will, however, yeah that’s much better – though not exactly my speed, watch the episode and you’ll understand what I mean. REVIEW: House of Cards – Season Three

Unless you’ve been under a rock since Thursday, you should be aware of the fact that season three of House of Cards is out on Netflix – go watch it if you haven’t. Now. Since its release I’ve been working hard to review every single episode of the season, and I am thankful that I finished it in the opening weekend. They function both as recaps and reviews – so if you forgot something then feel free to make good use of it.

Today I decided to release a full post on season three of House of Cards. Now if you’ve been following my episode reviews, then you already know that I mentioned some overall thoughts at the end of Chapter 39, but I thought I had more to say today.

So, first things first – did I like the season? Yes, I really did. I think a lot of the people that are disappointed expected the second coming of Heisenberg this season. But in many ways this season was always going to be about the illusion of the Presidency – the illusion of power. And what it means to be Commander in Chief. REVIEW: House of Cards – “Chapter 38”

The episode opens with the news – people favor Dunbar, but fear that her inexperience will lead to the Republicans taking 2016. On the Air Force One they decide to make good use of Claire, seeing as she’s more popular than her husband. They’ve yet to replace Remy Danton, though Seth Grayson wants the job. Dunbar is visiting her old friend from the Supreme Court, Robert. He says it’s time for him to step down, but he wants her to take the job – even though she’s the frontrunner for 2016. REVIEW: House of Cards – “Chapter 37”

We’re almost by the end of the season, that means that we need to get through the televised debates. Finally, they’re here. Let’s get to the plot description:

The Underwoods are preparing for the final part of their campaign. The First Lady is wooing voters as she should, and Francis is preparing for the debates as he should. Now, what’s interesting is what happens at Stamper’s apartment. Now that Orsay’s out, he’s telling Doug that Rachel is indeed alive – he was just feeding him false information so that he would get him his passport. He’ll tell him where she is if, and only if, he helps Orsay’s friend. Orsay is toying with an addicted man – and this won’t end well.

REVIEW: House of Cards – “Chapter 36”

So far this season, keeping peace has been the toughest thing for the President – as this season is getting closer to its end, we’ll see if he has what it takes to take on real danger. Let’s get to the plot description:

The episode opens with a town hall meeting with potential voters. Frank is nice, friendly, funny – but people want an answer on the Jordan Valley. Did they do it? Are their grandchildren safe? Are their soldiers? Frank cannot answer those questions. To prevent the televised debates from happening too soon, he makes Jackie Sharp agree to ask for a postponement.

Meanwhile Claire is anchoring, mediating, a meeting of Palestine and Israeli representatives. There’s talk of troop-reduction, but nothing fruitful as of yet. Claire is upset about the Israeli government, upset about a potential no-fly-zone. The representative, however, cannot comment on the matter immensely.

REVIEW: House of Cards – “Chapter 34”

All’s good in the Underwood household following last episode’s renewing of the vows. But will things stay calm in Chapter 34? Come find out. Let’s get to the plot description:

Say welcome to Faith – a hurricane very much going towards the U.S. is compared to Francis J. Underwood in an opinion piece by the savvy replacement reporter. Meanwhile, Frank’s author is finishing a draft of the prologue to the book on AmWorks. Frank is worried about the hurricane coming towards the eastern seaboard, knowing fully that FEMA doesn’t have the funds to protect the U.S. Citizens.

We learn that Mendoza is out of the Republican picture, having made a couple of mistakes too many. Congress is trying to force Frank’s hands. They’re willing to fund FEMA appropriately, if, and only if, it comes at the cost of AmWorks funding. Former VP Jim Matthews is even demanding that Frank does this. While in the Oval Office, Seth Grayson informs POTUS that Freddy is one of the 10 daily case studies gathered for him from AmWorks. Freddy is now washing dishes.
