With 2012’s Prometheus and now with 2017’s Alien: Covenant, Ridley Scott – the directorial ‘father’ of the Alien-franchise – has reclaimed ownership of the vastly popular horror-science fiction film series. Unfortunately, Prometheus wasn’t met with much praise from fans, and now – with Alien: Covenant – Ridley Scott is trying to appease the rapid fan-base while still dealing with the themes present in his first prequel. April gave us the eighth film in the Fast & Furious franchise, but May is even better for American audiences. The summer movie season is gearing up, and it’s time for the U. S. to finally see the fifteenth film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe: Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2. How much will it make in its opening weekend? 2016 is almost over, and I really can’t believe it. It feels like the summer movie season just ended, but here we are at the end of the year. That also means that we need to start looking forward to some of the films that are released next year.
