The following is a review of Neighbors, also known as ‘Bad Neighbours’ internationally.

In Neighbors, Mac (played by Seth Rogen) and Kelly Radner (played by Rose Byrne) are trying to deal with life’s newest challenge for them: parenthood. But the Radners have also realized that parenthood may mean that they have to leave their old lifestyle behind. One day, they notice that someone is moving in next door, but soon learn that their new neighbor is a fraternity.

Hoping to come off as the good neighbors next door they put on a ‘cool’ persona the first time they meet Teddy, the fraternity president (played by Zac Efron), but when the late night partying next door starts upsetting the Radners they call the police. Suddenly, an all-out war between the Radner family and the fraternity has begun.

The actors are really strong in this film. I expected a lot from Seth Rogen, who I absolutely love, as well as Zac Efron, who I like a lot, and both of them did a solid job. Dave Franco is really great too as Teddy’s right hand man. But Rose Byrne is awesome in this film. Byrne surprised me a lot here. She is so funny in this film.

Zac Efron has great chemistry with the other fraternity members, especially Dave Franco, but also had great chemistry with Seth Rogen. The fraternity is hilarious, but the married couple is just as fun. Nicholas Stoller has made another great comedy.

Neighbors doesn’t break any new ground. You’ve seen other films like this one before. But the film presents a group of talented actors doing stupid things for your amusement. Neighbors is really funny. Great, immature fun, but fun nonetheless. You will love it.
