Marvelous Monday #21 – What Should Be On ‘Awesome Mix Vol. 2’?

I'm Jeffrey Rex' Marvelous Monday - Awesome Mix 2

Okay, so I was gonna put a spoiler warning here – but you’ve all seen Guardians of the Galaxy. RIGHT!?

Guardians of the Galaxy was the best mainstream film of last year, and was surprisingly fairly seperate from the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Other than Rocket and Groot, the soundtrack was the breakout star of the film – and for some (me) it’s the very best movie soundtrack of all-time.

So, in the last scenes of the film, Peter Quill opened his mother’s gift to him – and it was, thankfully, another Awesome Mix-tape. And seeing as news about the sequel came out this week, I’ve decided to list my propositions for Awesome Mix Vol. 2.

We already know the first two songs on the mixtape (“Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” & “I Want You Back”), so I’ll leave them off my list of eight songs. So without further ado, here’s my suggestion for Awesome Mix Vol. 2:

  1. Signed, Sealed, Delivered I’m Yours – Stevie Wonder (1970).
  2. More Than A Feeling – Boston (1976).
  3. Raindrops Keep Fallin’ On My Head – B. J. Thomas (1969).
  4. Love Grows (Where My Rosemary Goes) – Edison Lighthouse (1970).
  5. Stuck In The Middle With You – Stealers Wheel (1972).
  6. Take It To The Limit – Eagles (1975).
  7. Have You Ever Seen The Rain? – Creedence Clearwater Revival (1971).
  8. American Pie – Don McLean (1971).

Which songs do you want on the mixtape? Sound off in the comments!

I’m Jeffrey Rex.
