7th Stage – Tour de France 2013

Peter Sagan destroyed his opponents today. Cannondale knew Sagan couldn’t beat Greipel & Cavendish in a direct sprint, so they decided to set a fast pace in the Peloton. It became clear early on that Omega & Lotto had to chase from behind, but after chasing for a long time they gave up – therefore it was an easy win for Peter Sagan. Not much else happened today – We’ve got a new man in the Polka Dot, Adriano Malori Withdrew from the Race & Jens “Jensie” Voigt was in a breakaway. Mark Cavendish was angry today, so everything’s normal. The real drama comes tomorrow, so be ready!

Sky Pro Cycling
They stayed safe during the entire race, they were ready. Edvald Boasson Hagen didn’t win, and he didn’t get the Yellow Jersey; something I think they are quite glad for. They don’t want to defend the jersey this early. Sky looked ready, and looked relaxed. Tomorrow will be their day, for sure. Froome v Contador continues tomorrow.

Jakob Fuglsang
Astana finished in the Top 10 today, and thankfully that’s all we have to say today. They didn’t do much, tomorrow we’ll see what Fuglsang can do on his own. No man withdrew today(Astana).

Peter Sagan is now at 209 points, and has a big lead on André and Mark. Daryl Impey stays in the Yellow jersey, Kwiatkowski in the White – BUT we see a change in the Polka Dot, Biel Kadri is now in the jersey. Expect him to lose it tomorrow!
